Library Catalogs
When you don't find a needed source on the Internet or in a disciplinary database, a citation can be used to find the source somewhere else, typically in a library. The source for discovering what a library owns and where they keep it is a catalog. The catalog covers more than just print books, periodicals, maps and other physical objects; the catalog also lists and provides links to online sources such as e-books.
The UF Libraries’ Catalog is a database of everything the campus libraries own, however the records don't include titles or the authors of magazine, newspaper and periodical articles. The catalog covers some book chapter titles, but has only recently started including this information. When looking for article or chapter titles, remember to search for the parent source. Search for the title of the book, journal, magazine, or newspaper.
